Open Exness Account

Independent Exness partner guide

Before the Exness download: the order that reaches a first login without starting over

Downloading is not step one. It is step three or four, and almost every stalled first attempt comes from doing it earlier than that — a terminal installed before anyone knew which platform the account would use, a registration finished with an address nobody can open, a verification left for later and discovered at the worst possible moment. This page sets out the sequence, what has to be within reach at each stage, and exactly what breaks when two steps change places.

This is an independent partner website — not Exness itself. Every account button here leads to the official exness.com, where registration, login, and trading actually happen. This site only explains the routes.

The checklist

Four things to have within reach before anything is downloaded

None of these is difficult on its own. What makes them worth listing is that each one is discovered halfway through a step where fetching it means abandoning the step — and the abandoned step is usually the one that then has to be repeated from the beginning.

Why it is needed What happens without it
An email address that opens on this device The Personal Area is created around it, a one-time verification code is sent to it on a new device or browser, and the message with the trading account number and server name arrives there The registration completes and then goes quiet: the code cannot be read, the account details cannot be found, and the sign-in has nothing to work with
The answers to a short questionnaire Registration on the official exness.com asks a small set of questions about the person opening the account The form is abandoned midway and started again later — usually with a different address, which quietly creates a second account
An identity document Identity verification follows inside the Personal Area after registration The step waits, and it is remembered at the least convenient moment rather than at the calm one
A decision about the platform Trading accounts are opened for a specific platform — MT4 or MT5 — and that fixes which terminal is the right download A terminal is installed on a coin toss, and half the time it refuses the account with an error that looks like a password problem

Nothing on this list is unusual and nothing on it is optional. It is simply the set of items that turn a first attempt into one uninterrupted sitting instead of four half-finished ones.

Order matters

What breaks when two steps change places

Download before account

The wrong terminal, installed

The commonest reversal. An MT4 account will not sign in to the MT5 terminal, or the other way round, because the platform is fixed when the trading account is created. Installed first, the terminal is a guess; installed after step two, there is only one correct file and the second download never happens.

Register before checking the inbox

The details arrive somewhere unreachable

The Personal Area is built around the email address given at registration, a one-time code is sent there on a new device, and the message carrying the trading account number and server name lands there too. An address that cannot be opened on the spot turns all three into dead ends at once.

Sign in before reading which sign-in

The right password at the wrong door

There are two logins and they are not interchangeable. The Personal Area takes an email address and password; MT4 and MT5 take a trading account number, a trading password, and a server name. Typing one into the other produces a rejection that looks exactly like a forgotten password.

Login guide →

There is one legitimate way to skip a step rather than reorder it: the Web Terminal runs a full session in a browser tab with nothing installed, which removes the download from the sequence altogether. It works with MT5-based accounts, so step two still has to come first.

The sequence in full

Five steps, in the order that does not double back

  1. Open the official website and register

Use the account button on this page or type exness.com directly, and check the address bar before entering anything — a habit that shuts out look-alike copies. Registration takes an email address and a short questionnaire, and it creates the Personal Area.

  2. Verify identity while the documents are to hand

Identity verification happens inside the Personal Area after registration. Doing it immediately, rather than when it becomes urgent, is the single change that removes most of the waiting from a first week.

  3. Open a trading account and write down three things

Inside the Personal Area, a trading account is opened for a specific platform. The platform, the account number, and the server name are the three items every later step will ask for; noting them once saves looking for them three times.

  4. Now download — and only now

With the platform known, there is exactly one right file: the MT4 or MT5 installer for a desktop, the matching mobile app for a phone, or nothing at all if the Web Terminal is the chosen route. Installers come from the official exness.com, and download links are also listed in the Personal Area.

  5. Sign in to the terminal, then set the account up

The terminal takes the account number, the trading password, and the server name. Leverage settings, deposits, and withdrawals stay in the Personal Area, and a demo account can be opened alongside the real one at any point.

Two steps that genuinely can be done early

  • The demo account. Virtual funds, the same market prices as a real account, available on MT4, MT5, the Web Terminal, and the app. It can be opened right after registration and before any deposit, so it never blocks anything. How to open a demo →
  • Reading which account type suits. Standard, Standard Cent, Pro, Raw Spread, and Zero differ in pricing and minimums rather than in platform, so the comparison can be done long before anything is created. Account types in detail →

Accounts & conditions

The choice made at step two

AccountWhat it isMinimum deposit
StandardThe default choice — spread-only pricingNo minimum
Standard CentCent-denominated, for very small volumesNo minimum
ProProfessional, commission-freeHigher minimum — set by region, shown on the official Exness website
Raw SpreadRaw pricing plus a commission per lotHigher minimum — set by region
ZeroZero spread on selected top instruments for much of the trading day, plus commissionHigher minimum — set by region

Swipe the table sideways →

Minimum deposit applicable; may vary based on payment method or geographic location. Spread — the small gap between the buy and sell price, the broker's charge on Standard accounts. A lot is a standard trade size; on Cent accounts balances are counted in cents, so very small real trades are possible. Swap-free versions, with no overnight-holding fee, exist for qualifying instruments.

Account types in detail →

Platform first, account type second

The two choices at step two are independent, and only one of them affects the download. The platform — MT4 or MT5 — decides which terminal to fetch. The account type decides how pricing works and what the minimum is. Confusing the two is what produces the question "which account do I need for MT5", when the answer is that both exist on both.

Leverage is set afterwards, not before

Leverage lets a position control more money than the deposit behind it — and it multiplies losses exactly as it multiplies gains. The available maximum depends on the instrument, the region, and the funds in the account, and each trading account has its own setting, changed in the Personal Area at any time. It is not part of the pre-download checklist. Leverage in detail →

Trading is risky and may not be suitable for everyone.

The broker at the end of the sequence

What Exness is known for

Exness is a global forex and CFD broker founded in 2008 — CFDs are contracts that track an asset's price without owning the asset. Two of the points traders cite most, each with the fine print that belongs with it:

Stable, competitive spreads

Some of the lowest and most stable spreads on key instruments, such as gold and oil CFDs, even during market-moving news events.

Spreads may fluctuate and widen due to factors including market volatility, news events, market open/close, and others.

Withdrawals, processed automatically

The majority of withdrawals are processed automatically, providing quick, 24/7 access to funds.

Processing times may vary depending on the chosen payment method. Withdrawals are requested inside the Personal Area, which is the same place identity verification is completed.

Exness is a globally regulated broker, holding multiple licenses from respected financial regulators around the world.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

What has to be ready before downloading anything?

An email address that can be opened on the spot, the answers to a short registration questionnaire, an identity document for verification inside the Personal Area, and — the one people skip — a trading account whose platform is already known. The last item is what makes the download a single correct file rather than a guess.

Can the terminal be installed before the account exists?

It can be installed, it just may be the wrong one. Trading accounts are opened for a specific platform, and an MT4 account will not sign in to the MT5 terminal or the reverse. Installing after the account is created costs nothing extra and removes the coin toss entirely.

Why does the terminal ask for a server name when the password is already known?

Because it is a different login. The Personal Area signs in with an email address and password; MT4 and MT5 sign in with a trading account number, a trading password, and a server name. All three of the terminal's items are shown in the Personal Area and in the message sent when the account was created.

What happens if registration was finished with the wrong email address?

Everything downstream points at that address: the one-time verification code on a new device, the account details, and the password reset. If it cannot be opened, the practical route is the official Exness support in the Personal Area rather than a second registration — starting again quietly creates a second account, which is its own tangle.

Is identity verification something to do now or later?

Now, while the document is to hand. It happens inside the Personal Area after registration, and leaving it until it becomes urgent is what turns a quiet administrative step into a wait at the worst moment. Nothing about it depends on which platform or terminal was chosen.

Is there a route with no download at all?

Yes — the Web Terminal, officially named the Exness Terminal, runs a full trading session in a browser tab on Windows, macOS, or Linux with nothing installed. It works with MT5-based accounts, so the account still has to exist first; what it removes is the step most often taken out of order.

MT4 or MT5 — when is that decided?

At step two, when the trading account is opened, not at the download. For a new desktop setup MT5 is the newer platform: 21 timeframes, 38 built-in indicators, and depth of market, a live order book. MT4 remains right for traders who depend on MT4-only expert advisors. Both connect to Exness accounts.

Can a demo be opened before the checklist is finished?

A demo account with virtual funds can be opened right after registration, before any deposit, and it uses the same market prices as a real account on all four platforms. It is the one part of the sequence with no prerequisites beyond the Personal Area itself, which makes it a sensible place to wait while verification is processed.

Where should the installers come from?

The official exness.com, with download links also listed inside the Personal Area — which is another argument for reaching the Personal Area before the download rather than after it. Installers or APK files offered by other websites should not be trusted.

Who runs this site?

An independent Exness partner. The site explains platforms, downloads, and login; registration, trading, and official support happen on exness.com. The Live Help page here is answered by this site's team. Account terms are the same as when registering directly.

Step one is the only one that cannot be skipped

Creating the account takes a few minutes on the official Exness website — an email address and a short questionnaire, with identity verification following in the Personal Area. Everything else on this page is downstream of it: the platform, the download, the sign-in, and the settings. Full registration walkthrough →
