The leftovers desk

Exness questions that the rest of this site leaves over

This page is deliberately not a summary. Anything a full guide already covers gets one line here and a door to that guide — nothing is retold. What is written out at length is the remainder: the vocabulary every page leans on without stopping to explain it, the words for costs and limits, the state a half-finished setup is left in, the values no independent site is able to print, and the questions that only turn up the second time round.

This is an independent partner site — not Exness itself. Nothing here is a screen anyone signs in to. Registration, verification, accounts and every sign-in live on the official exness.com, which each account button opens.

One line each, then the door

Answered in full on another page, so not answered twice here

Fourteen questions come up more often than everything below put together, and every one of them has a page of its own. Repeating them in short form would only produce a worse version of the answer, so this board hands them over instead.

Six words, defined once

The vocabulary every page here uses and none of them stops to explain

Guides are written by people who already know which screen is which, and the words for those screens get used as though they were obvious. They are not. Six of them carry almost all of the confusion on this site.

“Personal Area” — a page, a login, or a place?

A place, and always the same one: the dashboard that registration creates, opened with the registration email address and its password on the official exness.com. Accounts, deposits and settings all sit inside it. Whenever a sentence on this site says in the Personal Area, it means that screen and no other.

Why is it never simply “the account”?

Because two unrelated things answer to that word, and mixing them up is the single most expensive misreading on the whole path. Registration makes a Personal Area. A trading account is a separate object created inside it — one per platform, MT4 or MT5 — carrying its own number, its own trading password and its own server name.

What is a “server name” actually naming?

The line printed beside a particular trading account in the Personal Area, which the installed MT4 and MT5 terminals ask for alongside the number and the trading password. It is a name to be copied rather than a fact to be remembered — names of this kind resemble one another closely enough that a remembered one is a coin toss.

Is a demo a different product or the same one?

The same platform and the same market prices, with virtual funds instead of real ones. What no demo reproduces is live execution: slippage — a fill at a different price than quoted — and the weight of real money.

“Verified” describes a document or the account?

The account. KYC is the standard identity check, and an identity document is uploaded in the Personal Area when the check asks for it; the list of documents that will be accepted appears right there during verification. Nothing is typed anywhere as a result — what changes is a state, and the state is displayed rather than issued.

Why does this site keep calling platforms “routes”?

Because they are doors onto the same thing rather than four separate products. One trading account is reached through whichever door matches it, and the preparation differs by door — which is exactly what makes the word useful here and unremarkable everywhere else.

Five more, from the price side

The words that name a cost or a limit

These turn up on the pages about types, settings and sums, where they are used rather than introduced. Definitions only — when each one has to be decided is a question for the page that owns it.

Spread

The gap between the buy price and the sell price. On spread-only pricing the whole charge sits in that gap, which is why nothing separate appears as a fee line.

Commission per lot

A lot is a standard trade size. The professional accounts put their charge there — a commission per lot — instead of widening the gap between the two prices.

Swap, and swap-free

Swap is the fee for holding a position past the end of the trading day. Swap-free versions of the accounts exist for qualifying instruments, and the qualifying list is published on the official Exness website.

Margin call, and stop out level

Two marks on the same scale. The margin call warns that the account’s equity is running close to what its open positions require; the stop out level is the point past that warning where the platform closes positions automatically. Trading is risky and may not be suitable for everyone.

Slippage

A fill at a different price than the one quoted. It belongs to live execution, which is precisely the thing a rehearsal on virtual funds cannot show.

Margin, and notional

Margin is the deposit set aside to keep a position open — the position size divided by the leverage figure. Notional is that position size itself: the full market value the position controls, as opposed to the money standing behind it.

Pip

The standard step a price move is quoted in — 0.0001 on EUR/USD. It is the unit that turns a distance on a chart into an amount of money, once the volume is known.

Equity, and margin level

Equity is the balance plus the running result of whatever is open. Margin level is that equity measured against the margin currently in use, which is the number the two marks above are read off.

Six answers for an interrupted start

A setup left half-finished, and picked up days later

Almost nobody runs this in one sitting, and no page on the site is written for the person who stopped. These are the questions that only exist for someone coming back to something they no longer remember the shape of.

Can this be stopped in the middle and continued another day?

Yes, and there is no penalty for it. Every step leaves its result behind where the next step will look for it, so an interruption costs nothing but the time spent working out where it happened — which is the whole subject of this section.

Coming back with no memory of where it stopped — what shows the state?

One screen, and it is always the same one. The account list in the Personal Area is where a half-finished setup writes itself down. A device holds none of that, however much was installed on it, which is why the answer never depends on which machine is to hand. Reading that list →

What does an abandoned step actually leave behind?

It depends which kind it was. A form that was never submitted leaves nothing at all. A trading account that was created stays created and appears in the list. A document that was uploaded sits where it was left, in review, and carries on without anybody watching it.

Does anything expire while it is left alone?

Anything with a lifetime attached to it is policy, published on the official Exness website, and policy can change — which is why no independent page should be trusted on it. A replacement demo, if one is needed, takes about a minute to open in the Personal Area.

Two registrations happened by accident. Which one is the real one?

Whichever address was used for the step that mattered. Each registration address produces its own dashboard, and a trading account belongs to the dashboard it was created inside — so the question is answered by opening the one that lists it, not by choosing between them.

The machine used at the start is no longer around. What was lost?

Nothing that was created. The account and everything issued with it live in the Personal Area rather than on any device, and reaching them again needs only the registration address and its password. What is genuinely lost is anything that existed only as a note on that machine.

Five questions with a deliberate non-answer

Questions this site is the wrong place to put

Some values are set per region and per account, and they move. An independent page quoting them is quoting a copy that started going stale the day it was written, so the honest answer is the screen where the live one is displayed.

Where the live value is Why it cannot be printed here
Which types are offered The Personal Area, during onboarding The offer belongs to the region
Professional minimums The official Exness website Region-set, and revised
Payment methods The Personal Area list Differs by region; copies go stale
The leverage ceiling Beside each trading account Depends on instrument, region and funds
Fees on a transaction Beside the chosen method, before confirming Conditions depend on the region

Swipe the table sideways →

How much has to be paid in to start?

Nothing on Standard and Standard Cent — those have no minimum deposit. Pro, Raw Spread and Zero carry a region-set minimum, and the figure for a particular region is published on the official Exness website rather than here.

How high can the setting go on this account?

There is no single ceiling to quote. The available maximum depends on the instrument, the region and the funds standing behind the account, and the live cap sits next to that trading account in the Personal Area.

Which payment methods will appear?

The set differs by region, so the only list worth working from is the live one inside the Personal Area on the official exness.com. Lists published anywhere else are snapshots, and they age quietly.

How quickly does money leave?

The majority of withdrawals are processed automatically, providing quick, 24/7 access to funds. Processing times may vary depending on the chosen payment method — the expected window is shown in the Personal Area.

Where are the fees shown before anything is confirmed?

In the Personal Area, beside the chosen method and ahead of the confirmation — which makes that figure the one that counts, outranking anything quoted elsewhere including here.

Four answers that only exist later

The questions that turn up on the second pass, not the first

What does a second one still ask for?

Only the choices that opened the first, and those live in a single short form. Everything done once — the dashboard, the identity check, whatever was installed — stands where it was. Which choices that form fixes →

Why is the answer here always “open another one”?

Because nothing on this path converts into anything else. That is worth naming as a pattern rather than meeting five times separately: corrections take the shape of an addition, the earlier thing keeps working, and no screen anywhere offers to rewrite a choice already made.

Does moving to a different machine restart anything?

No part of the path is repeated. Everything the new machine needs is already sitting in the Personal Area waiting to be read off, and the only thing that does not travel is a note written somewhere private.

Where does a question that is not on this page go?

Anything tied to one particular account is for official support inside the Personal Area, which is the only place that can see it. Anything about the order of the steps reaches this site’s team through the Live Help page, and the way this guide is put together is set out on the about page.

Everything above assumes the first step is behind you

None of these questions can be asked usefully before there is a dashboard to look at — the words describe screens, the half-finished states are states of something that exists, and the live values are displayed rather than published. That first step is a short web form on the official exness.com and it takes minutes. What the form asks for →
